The Urquía family, represented by Loli, together with well known winegrower Franco Bastías, and coached by super star winemaker Daniel Pi, decided to seek for a new dream in Uco Valley. Federico Ruiz, leading the commercial strategy and Leonardo Pisano as a winemaker, joined this team to make this yearning come through.

Loli Urquía
Founder & CEO
Loli Urquía, member of the family founder of URQO. Born and raised in General Deheza, a lovely city in the southern part of Cordoba. Degreed as an Engineer and isoenergetic coach. At URQO, she worked to integrate these two worlds, based on simple things and things that make us better.
Federico Ruiz
Manager
Federico Ruiz is so passion about wine that he worked all his life communicating the wine worldwide. Born in San Juan with a degree in International Business. Through his professional career he performed at large corporations together with life and work experience in New Zealand and USA. He led URQO commercial strategy developing new wines, brands and its distribution.
Leo Pisano
Winemaker
Leo Pisano born in Uruguay, in a wine family. He moved to Mendoza to study winemaking. Uco Valley in Mendoza could keep him in the area and he never came back to his home land. He has a great proffessional backgroud and today he leads URQO ́s winemaking team. He feels like in Disney World: great terroirs, high tech wineries and a fantastic team.
Franco Bastías
Vineyard Manager
Franco was born in Comodoro Rivadavia, in 1990. He received his degree in Agricultural Engineering in 2014, although he began his professional career much earlier at Rutini. He strengthened his experience abroad, both in Chile and in Napa Valley. For eight years he served as Agronomy and Environmental Manager at Domaine Bousquet. In addition to wine, Franco loves reading and writing, and enjoys cycling and chess in his free time.
Daniel Pi
Consultant Winemaker
Daniel Pi joined UQRO as a coach on the bottle wine business in September 2022. Over three decades working in the wine world make him on a real wine expert making wines. Daniel, recognised as one of the very best Argentine winemakers, become part of our team looking to create exceptional wines.
